ANCIENT OLIVE TREES SÉNIA TERRITORY at the Madrid Book Fair ( 2/6/2025 )

As part of the Book Fair from June 1st to 15th, a photographic exhibition called "Cultural Itineraries of the Council of Europe in Spain", organized by the Minstriy of Culture, took place in the Retiro Park in Madrid.

Spain has an important share in this Programme of the Council of Europe as it is part of 27 Itineraries out of a total of 48 and, for this reason, this exhibition has been organized with images of all of them. The Olive Route is one of the 48 Itineraries of the Council of Europe and is led by the Olive Routes Foundation of Kalamata (Greece) and since 2019 the Sénia Territory Millenary Olive Trees are recognised as Honorary Members of the latter and we participate in many of its activities.

Gate of El Retiro Park (opposite the Casa Árabe), there is a photograph of the Sinfo Olive Tree in Traiguera (Castellón), which was awarded the Best Monumental Olive Tree in Spain Award from AEMO and the Best Monumental Olive Tree in the Mediterranean from Recomed. The photograph is by Santi Martorell.

During the presentation of the exhibition, held on June 1st, Tere Adell (manager of the Mancomunitat Taula del Sénia) spoke about the Olive Routes Itinerary and more specifically about the Millenary Olive Trees of the Sénia Territory, inviting people to come and see them.
