Yesterday, January 8, 2026, a Training Day on the Measurement of Monumental Olive Trees was held in Ulldecona, aimed at the Rural Agents of the Generalitat of Catalonia. This was carried out in accordance with Law 6/2020 on the protection, conservation, and enhancement of monumental olive trees, promoted by the Mancomunidad Taula del Sénia, the Territorio del Sénia Association, and the Department of Territory of the Catalan Government.

Ulldecona celebrates World Olive Tree Day with a new edition of the annual millenary olive trees congress
Last Friday, November 28, Ulldecona hosted the 13th Millenary Olive Trees Congress of the Sénia Territory, an event once again held to commemorate World Olive Tree Day, highlighting this unique natural heritage of our region.

The Route of the Senses comes to La Ràpita to offer a unique experience centered around the Ancient Olive Trees of the Sénia Territory. A series of activities combining heritage, nature, gastronomy, and immersive technology allow visitors to discover the cultural and scenic richness of our territory with all their senses.
On September 18 and 19, at the Capvespre Center of the Sóller Cooperative, a workshop on knowledge transfer regarding Ancient Olive Trees in the Tramuntana Mountains was held.

On October 3rd, the harvest of Farga olives began for the production of certified oil under the Aceite Farga Milenaria Guarantee Trademark. A total of 18 olive oil companies belonging to the Taula del Sénia Territory Association take part in this initiative – 10 from the province of Castellón and 8 from Tarragona.
OTRart is an initiative of the Creative Europe Program that addresses waste problems in the Mediterranean through artistic expression. The project began in Kalamata, Greece, in January of this year and involves six participating countries: Greece (Olive Routes), Spain (Taula del Sénia), Italy (Ceramics Route), France (Avignon University and Dechets d'Arts), Croatia (Tourism Association), and Malta (Unfinished Art Space).
On Friday, July 11, the President and Manager of the Taula del Sénia Mancomunidad (Evaristo Martí and Tere Adell), the President of the Territorio Sénia Association (Jaume Antich), the President of the Montsià Regional Council (Sergio Guimerà), and representatives of the 11 municipalities in Montsià that have monumental olive trees in their area (which is all of them, except Sant Jaume d'Enveja) met at the headquarters of the Montsià Regional Council in Amposta.
