There are 4,160 monumental olive trees registered in the Catalonian census, of which the vast majority, 3,509 (85%) are located in the Montsià region and, in particular, in the municipality of Ulldecona, with 1,902 specimens.

As part of the Book Fair from June 1st to 15th, a photographic exhibition called "Cultural Itineraries of the Council of Europe in Spain", organized by the Minstriy of Culture, took place in the Retiro Park in Madrid.
This prize is the 8th awarded by AEMO (Spanish Association of Olive Tree Municipalities) to the Millennium Olive Trees of the Sénia Territory (located between the Valencian Community, Catalonia and Aragon), which is the place with the highest concentration of millennium olive trees in the world, with currently more than 7,000 specimens mapped that exceed 350 centimetres in trunk perimeter at a height of 130 centimetres from the ground.
Jordi Hereu, Minister of Industry and Tourism, came to visit the millenary olive trees of the Territori Sénia in Ulldecona, where he met with the Taula del Sénia (Mancomunitat and Association), as well as with the owners of the estate and the Town Council.
