Millennial Olive Trees Route, Sénia Territory (La Ràpita)

The Route of the Senses comes to La Ràpita to offer a unique experience centered around the Ancient Olive Trees of the Sénia Territory. A series of activities combining heritage, nature, gastronomy, and immersive technology allow visitors to discover the cultural and scenic richness of our territory with all their senses. The event includes a varied program for all audiences: exhibitions, guided tastings, and sensory experiences among olive trees.

EXHIBITIONS:

• Ancient Olive Trees : An exhibition consisting of 33 panels that tell the story of this living heritage through its varieties, the municipalities where they are rooted, and the guarantee mark that ensures their authenticity. The exhibition presents olive trees from different municipalities in the Sénia region and highlights their value as a symbol of shared identity and a driver of local development.
• A 3D look at Ancient Olive Trees : This innovative exhibition invites visitors to observe olive trees from a completely new perspective thanks to stereoscopic (3D) photography. Developed as part of the VALSIPAM project (Valorization of Areas Designated as Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems by the FAO), the exhibition allows visitors to discover the details and unique shapes of 17 selected specimens from the Sénia Territory, revealing their beauty with surprising depth.
• Virtual Reality : Landscapes of Ancient Olive Trees: An immersive experience that transports visitors to the landscapes of ancient olive trees without having to travel. Using virtual reality glasses, it is possible to explore the territory, admire the fields, and learn about their ecological and cultural value from an innovative perspective.

OLIVE OIL TASTING AND FOOD PAIRINGS: The world of extra virgin olive oil from the Sénia region will take center stage during a day dedicated to the senses.

OLIVE ESSENCE - A SENSORY EXPERIENCE AMONG OLIVE TREES

A proposal to experience the soul of the region among ancient olive trees. Olive Tree Essence combines music, legends, and gastronomy to connect with nature and the history of these monumental trees. An ideal activity for all audiences who want to experience the region with all five senses.

• At 10:00 a.m., expert Jordi Rius will lead a guided tasting to discover the positive attributes and aromatic richness of the region's oils.
• Then, at 12:00 p.m., Agustí Romero and Montse Jiménez from IRTA will lead a food pairing session, where you can see how the region's oils enhance and transform Mediterranean cuisine.
